Hello again, digital world!

Blog  ✺  Personal

Starting April 10th, I’m back in the world of self-employment, after a 16 month hiatus. My focus will be on helping companies thrive in an ever more digital world.

Leaving required – the agency I co-founded

But let’s get a back a little further. In 2017 I took a break from the agency I co-founded in 2013 to recharge my batteries and get a clear focus on what I love to do. During my time away from the agency, I realized that I wanted to do something else with my time. Therefore I sold my shares to my co-founders and left the agency at the end of 2017.

Leaving switchplus – the client I joined after agency-life

As I mentioned in the intro to this post, after I left required, I joined a former client to be in charge of a new kind of SME product. In the last 16 months I’ve been working as a team- and product-lead for an SME product at switchplus, the largest hosting company in Switzerland. The company has since been sold and is shifting focus on different products. Which gives me the unique chance to start something new, on my own terms.

So, what’s next?

In the last two years I spent a lot of time thinking about what I’m going to do in the future. I learned a lot about team and project structures, company culture, online marketing and spent as much time as possible on my new passion, gardening. Yes this is no joke, for a long time now I was interested in growing my own vegetables and fruits. Seeing seeds turn into plants, plants into food is an amazing thing, it helped me become a lot more patient in the process. But you wanted to know what I was going to do with my time and how I’m going to earn a living from now on. So here is what’s next:

Digital & WordPress consulting

Starting now, I’m going to offer my knowledge in the digital and WordPress space to companies in need for advice. My services range from helping companies choose agency partners for their next web project, helping them succeed in an ever more digitized space and getting the most out of their data to improve their customer journey.

In case you or your company need any of these services, don’t hesitate to contact me. I’d love to help you out.

My personal projects

Besides helping clients succeed in the digital world, I’m going to spend as much time as possible on my personal projects. Those include a gardening knowledge platform with an online shop, a simple SaaS product for social media and a few online shops for partners offering non-digital products.

As soon as I have any news to share regarding my personal projects, I’ll update my /now page.
